Our hearts go out to everyone affected, directly or indirectly, by the despicable act committed in Florida this past weekend.  It was heartening to see Nashville come together last night to support and remember our brothers and sisters in Orlando.  Also, thank you Mayor Barry for working yesterday with some of the groups listed above to publicly show solidarity and support to the victims, their families, Nashville’s local GLBTQ community, and the soul of Nashville at large.

Hug your loved ones.  Be kind to everyone.  And please, 2016, let this be the last time Nashville needs to light up buildings and bridges in memoriam for the rest of the year, okay?  Nashville and the surrounding areas have experienced far too much grief, sadness, and emotional turmoil lately (especially considering that the Titans aren’t even playing right now).  Go out and find a way to spread some love today.
